Epson Celebrates 40th Year in Southeast Asia With New EcoTank Printers
Updated: Nov 3, 2022
Epson on Thursday, 20 October 2022, commemorated 80 years since its establishment and its 40th year in the Southeast Asian region.
To celebrate, the Japanese electronics company launched two new monochrome EcoTank printers, M1170 and M2170. The two compact printers are powered by the proprietary PrecisionCore Heat-Free Technology, enhancing productivity and print speeds. They can not only print at a rapid pace, allowing you to have all your documents ready before work, but they also use less energy, helping you save on power consumption.
The M1170 makes the most out of cartridges, letting you enjoy a high yield of up to 6,000 pages with each ink bottle. Meanwhile, the M2170 ships with two full sets of ink, which is enough to print up to 11,000 pages. When it’s time for you to refill, you can save about 90% on the cost per page with the replacement ink bottles.
Apart from the printers, the company also launched the CO-FH02, a versatile and lightweight FHD projector that you can easily take with you to work and home.
Epson is targeting industrial and commercial printing verticals like signages, textiles, labels and many more via its large format printers, as part of its “Beyond Transformation” theme. The company said decentralisation is a key trend as it tries to incorporate more cloud-based solutions in its large format printers to enable more seamless business scaling.
The printer manufacturer also said it has deployed robots to provide flexible configuration for end-to-end automation. It touts that its smart manufacturing solutions enable floor optimisation with higher output, precision and accuracy while reducing environmental impact.
Epson said Southeast Asia is expected to become the 4th largest market in the world by 2030. The company wants to tap into the region’s market potential, introducing its ecosystem of products to serve different business needs. Epson has expanded its presence in Southeast Asia over the last four decades, investing in offices across the region. Last year, the company launched its new regional headquarters at Alexandra Technopark in Singapore. More recently, it opened Epson Solution Centres across Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
