A new restaurant in Dubai is set to open in September, offering a futuristic dining experience powered by artificial intelligence.

WOOHOO, located near the Burj Khalifa, will feature a culinary large-language model named Chef Aiman, which will design the menu, ambience and service.
Although human chefs will assemble the dishes, the recipes and dining concept will be driven by AI. Chef Aiman, a blend of "AI" and "man," has been trained on decades of food science, molecular data and more than 1,000 global recipes.
The AI model analyses cuisine by breaking it down into components such as texture, acidity and umami, then reassembles them into unique flavour and ingredient combinations.
These AI-generated prototypes are refined by human chefs, led by Dubai-based chef Reif Othman, who taste and adjust the dishes.

Chef Aiman interacts with human feedback to improve its culinary suggestions, aiming to enhance creativity rather than replace human cooking.
Ahmet Oytun Cakir, co-founder of WOOHOO and chief executive of hospitality company Gastronaut, said the AI is also designed to reduce food waste by reusing commonly discarded ingredients like meat trimmings and fat.
WOOHOO’s founders hope to eventually license Chef Aiman to restaurants worldwide to promote sustainability and reduce kitchen waste.
