Wang Jingtao, the vice minister of China’s Cyberspace Administration, recently disclosed this development. The approval of these AI models represents a significant step in China's technical landscape.

A year ago, China approved its first batch of massive language models for public use. The initial list of permitted services included ChatGPT-like offers from tech giants such as Baidu, SenseTime, and Zhipu AI. Wang Jingtao delivered this information at China's Internet Security Conference in early August, emphasising the public's increasing use of AI-generated products. To present, an amazing 564 million people have registered to use these advanced AI services.
