Chinese artificial intelligence startup Manus has launched a new text-to-video feature that allows users to create structured video stories from simple text prompts within minutes.

The tool is currently available to paid subscribers, with plans for a broader rollout in the near future.
Manus gained attention earlier this year for its AI agent capable of executing complex tasks. The company rose quickly following its launch, shortly after DeepSeek introduced its low-cost AI model.
Manus is backed by Butterfly Effect, which secured USD 75 million in April from Benchmark Capital. The investment marked a rare instance of US funding in a Chinese AI company amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
As global technology firms compete to commercialise AI-driven video generation, analysts say the sector could reshape industries such as marketing, education and entertainment.
