BrainCo Unveils Brain-Controlled Robotic AI Platform at WAIC 2026

BrainCo, a non invasive brain computer interface technology organisation, recently unveiled an integrated brain controlled robotic artificial intelligence research platform. The company also presented its Dexterous Manipulation Data Acquisition Matrix. These introductions occurred at the WAIC 2026 (World Artificial Intelligence Conference) in Shanghai, according to VCBeat Health.

At the BrainCo exhibition booth, a demonstrator wearing an electroencephalogram cap controlled a robotic arm by thought, which poured water. Another robotic arm autonomously grasped an egg. The robotic fingers displayed force control comparable to a human hand. Demonstrations showcased BrainCo's work across brain computer interfaces, AI, and embodied AI, fields where it is identified as a unicorn.
And the BrainCo Brain Controlled Robot Training Platform is an integrated AI research platform for brain controlled robotics. This system unifies electroencephalogram acquisition, signal denoising, neural decoding, control mapping, and real time feedback. Users wear a non invasive brain computer interface. AI algorithms convert movement intention patterns into robot commands. Developers reportedly achieve "mind controlled" robot operation in 10 minutes, needing no physical movement or prior BCI background.
The platform condenses a multi disciplinary experimental environment into an integrated system for end to end experiments. It functions as a universal middleware layer for cross industry adoption, supporting integration with third party devices such as humanoid robots, robotic arms, and robotic dogs. BrainCo's strategy is platform oriented. Portable signal acquisition, with AI driven neural decoding, is now for home and industrial use.
The BrainCo Dexterous Manipulation Data Acquisition Matrix addresses the industry challenge of teaching robots fine manipulation skills, specifically high quality training data scarcity. It builds a varied data system using human demonstration, real robot execution, and simulation generated data, providing large scale, quality training data. The Revo 3 dexterous hand is a key component, with 21 degrees of freedom. Its grip strength reaches up to 70 Newtons.
So the Revo 3 hand's tactile sensors detect deformations as small as 130 micrometres. The RevoHuman exoskeleton based human data acquisition glove also contributes, placing sensors on finger sides. This collects hand posture and tactile data without obstructing human hand operation. RevoHuman bridges the data gap between human demonstration and robot learning.
BrainCo also introduced a new generation intelligent bionic hand. This unit weighs 383 grams and measures 16 centimetres. It detects signals from the wearer's residual limb, translating them into independent finger movements. Control precision reaches 0.1 degrees, with 50 Newtons grip strength. Each hand can bear up to 20 kilograms. The intelligent bionic leg adapts dynamically to lower limb amputees via sensors, algorithms, and a hydraulic system.
BrainCo is among few companies globally to achieve large scale production and commercialisation of brain computer interface products. Its smart bionic hand received US FDA clearance in 2022. Its smart bionic leg completed FDA registration and listing in 2024, gaining inclusion in the US medical insurance reimbursement system. These achievements contributed to cumulative fundraising up to USD 500 million, placing BrainCo second globally in brain computer interface sector funding.
But He Xiyujin highlighted the role of non invasive, wearable brain controlled prosthetics in technological inclusivity. The Zhejiang government recently provided bionic prosthetics to 2,046 disabled individuals. BCI technology extends into medical rehabilitation, embodied intelligence, and consumer electronics, with its application threshold decreasing.
