Chinese consumer electronics maker Baseus launched its premium Inspire audio product line at IFA Berlin. The Shenzhen-based organisation is bolstering its international presence amid intense domestic competition.

The Inspire line, developed in partnership with US premium sound equipment company Bose, includes the XP1 earbuds, XC1 open-ear buds, and XH1 headphones. These products are priced between USD 129.99 and USD 149.99.
All Inspire products are now available on global mainstream online shopping sites. Baseus Founder and Chief Executive He Shiyou described the line as offering an affordable, "uncompromised sound experience" for young consumers.
He stated the Inspire line is "not expensive but still comes with moving and professional sound quality," adding that "premium sound should not be a privilege for just a few people." This competitive pricing is approximately half that of similar high-end audio products from companies like Bose and Sony, which typically cost USD 350 and above.

Despite lower pricing, the Baseus Inspire line claims to deliver a premium acoustic experience. It offers high-fidelity sound with rich detail, long-lasting battery life, and sleek, comfortable design across all models.
The product line launch aligns with Baseus' goal to bolster its global presence, particularly in the US and Germany. The company also maintains regional offices in other European countries, including Spain and Poland.
Founded in 2011, Baseus initially manufactured chargers before expanding into audio equipment, office gadgets, security, and automobile accessories. It currently sells over 100 product series across 100 countries.
Chief Executive He reported the company has more than 300 million global users. He added that Baseus products have won nearly 200 design awards and secured 2,500 patents globally.
IFA Berlin runs from Sept. 3-9 and features numerous other Chinese consumer electronics firms, from Anker to Roborock. These companies are also seeking to expand beyond China's fiercely competitive domestic market.
Leo Wu, head of Baseus' audio product line, noted the global wireless stereo market is a "red sea" of competition. Wu emphasised Baseus products stand out by blending design, comfort, noise-cancelling technology, and finely tuned sound at a compelling price.
He attributed the company's competitiveness partly to the strength of the Chinese tech supply chain. He also cited Baseus' engineering research and development alongside industrial design iterations as giving its products an edge.
He concluded that fierce competition benefits consumers by driving brands to create products they truly need. "As long as competition benefits consumers, I think it’s a good thing," He stated.
