Asus Launches New Ultraportable Zenbook S 13 OLED in Singapore
Asus has announced its new ultraportable 13.3-inch Zenbook will be available in Singapore starting today, 5 August 2022.
The Zenbook S 13 OLED (UM5302), the computer maker’s latest productivity-based offering, is touted as the lightest laptop of its class, weighing in at only one kilogram. It features all the bells and whistles of a modern release, making it a great companion for on-the-go professionals who want an elegant-looking device that doesn’t compromise on performance.
The laptop comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U mobile processor, AMD Radeon mobile
graphics, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD, ensuring users can enjoy optimal boot and load times in both productivity and creativity tasks. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, which is further enhanced by exclusive proprietary technologies and software, to deliver speedy online experiences.
Meanwhile, for power, it draws from a 67Wh battery, which is said to be capable of lasting up to 19 hours, reducing the chances of users needing to search for power outlets while they're out and about. And when it's time to charge, the device can top-up up to 60% capacity in just 49 minutes thanks to the company's USB-C Easy Charge solution. Another advantage of USB-C charging is that users can use an airline charger or a power bank to recharge the laptop when they need to.
Asus has managed to pack all these specifications into a 14.9mm-thin chassis that's made entirely from durable magnesium-aluminium alloy. The back panel even features the brand's monogram logo to help it stand out from the crowd. The laptop was also designed with the user's hygiene in mind, with surfaces supposedly being coated with a special treatment that can inhibit bacterial growth.
Lastly, the Zenbook S 13 OLED, by its name, ships with a 13-inch 2.8K OLED HDR Dolby Vision touchscreen. The panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, allowing it to output vibrant colours and deep blacks. It also supports the use of a high-precision MPP 2.0 stylus, such as the Asus Pen 2.0. The visuals are complemented by a stereo sound system certified by Harman Kardon and also supports Dolby Atmos.
Other key features include a ClearVoice mic, noise-cancellation technology for video calls and an ErgoSense keyboard.
The Zenbook S 13 OLED retails at S$1,998 and is available for purchase starting today via the Asus Exclusive Store and the Asus Online Store.
