Apple Vision Pro 2 Release: Sooner Than Expected? Insider Insights Unveiled!
Apple Vision Pro 2 release date could be sooner than expected. Previous Apple product releases have shown variations in release timelines. International sales expansion and other reports suggest an earlier release.
Apple's latest product, the Apple Vision Pro, made its debut just over two weeks ago. However, rumors are already swirling about the release date of the second-generation model, and according to an insider, it could be arriving much sooner than anticipated.
In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared some insights into the timeline for the Vision Pro 2. Gurman stated, "Apple Inc. is probably at least 18 months away from launching a second-generation Vision Pro. Based on the early response to the first version, that may be a long time for some people to wait."
While many might have expected a longer wait for the next iteration of the Apple Vision Pro, there are a few reasons why it could arrive sooner than anticipated.
1. It's Not Always How Apple Does Things
Looking at Apple's previous product releases, there have been instances where the time between generations varied. For example, the second-generation Apple Watch was released 17 months after the first model, while the second-generation AirPods arrived over two years after the initial release. Therefore, Apple's release schedule is not always predictable.
2. The International Sales Factor
Currently, the Apple Vision Pro is only available in the United States. Apple has announced plans to expand its availability to other territories, including the United Kingdom, in 2024. However, if the release in these regions is scheduled for later in the year, it is unlikely that Apple would launch the second-generation model just weeks after the initial release. Apple would want to ensure that the first-generation Vision Pro is available in all markets before introducing the next version.
3. Other Intel and Reports
While Gurman suggests a possible release in the second half of 2025, other reports from industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TFI Securities have hinted at a much later release for the Vision Pro 2. Kuo mentioned a potential release in 2027, indicating that there may be no significant hardware updates for the Vision Pro in the coming years. However, Kuo also mentioned the possibility of a lower-cost Vision Pro in 2025, although this information is still uncertain.
Considering these factors, it seems likely that the Apple Vision Pro 2 will be released earlier than expected. While it is challenging to pinpoint an exact date, if we were to speculate, a release in September or October 2025 seems plausible.
