In a recent Power On newsletter, tech writer Mark Gurman sheds light on the delayed rollout of Apple Intelligence, set to be introduced in three stages over the next six months. This staggered release contradicts Apple's marketing claims that the iPhone 16 is completely designed for Apple Intelligence. The key factor is that the AI requires 8 gigabytes of memory to function effectively.

For avid users looking for new software features and hardware advancements, the iPhone 16 Pro may not be a significant step up from its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro. While the new model has improved display capabilities, a faster A18 Pro chipset, more memory to support AI tools, and a longer battery life for video playback, the changes may not be groundbreaking.

Apple has pushed the boundaries of innovation. Building on the success of the programmable Action Button introduced in previous models, the iPhone 16 Pro now includes a variety of buttons, including the Camera Control button. This capacitive button provides a variety of functions that can be accessed with a single touch, revolutionising the iPhone photography experience.

Forbes contributor David Phelan describes the Camera Control button as a game changer, praising its intuitive design and responsive functionality, making it the best tool for capturing photos and videos on the iPhone. However, while this addition is significant, it remains to be seen whether it is sufficient to improve the overall user experience of the iPhone 16 Pro.

While Apple continues to promise groundbreaking advancements with the upcoming Apple Intelligence integration, the current iteration of the iPhone 16 Pro offers a mix of excitement and limitations. While the Camera Control button improves photography capabilities, the software is still evolving, with key features expected in future updates but no specific timeline.

In essence, the iPhone 16 Pro, like the entire iPhone 16 family, provides incremental improvements over its predecessor rather than a revolutionary leap in technology. As users navigate the moments of delight and allure of the Apple brand, the true impact of the iPhone 16 Pro is yet to be fully realised.
