Apple is set to introduce iOS 26, a significant software update for iPhone, during its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

The update is expected to deliver the most substantial redesign in years, giving existing iPhones a refreshed, modern feel.
Apple is renumbering its operating systems to align with the calendar year, meaning iOS 26 will debut alongside watchOS 26, macOS 26, iPadOS 26, and tvOS 26. The Vision Pro will leap from visionOS 2 to visionOS 26.
Internally codenamed Solarium, iOS 26 is expected to feature a light, translucent design inspired by the Vision Pro interface. The update aims to unify the look and feel across Apple devices, including iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
Productivity enhancements are also anticipated. iPads will gain new features to boost their Mac-like capabilities. Apple Intelligence models will be opened to developers, allowing integration into third-party apps.
One new feature will enable users to share Wi-Fi sign-in details across all Apple devices, simplifying connectivity in locations like gyms and hotels.
A standout upgrade is an AI-powered battery management system designed to extend device battery life between charges.
Additional features include a calligraphy pen for Apple Pencil and live translation support for AirPods.
Developer betas of iOS 26 will be released shortly after the announcement, with a public beta expected in July and a general release in September.
