Apple has reportedly submitted a bid worth at least USD 150 million annually to secure exclusive streaming rights for Formula 1 races in the United States starting in 2026.

According to Business Insider, the tech giant is the leading contender for the rights, with Walt Disney’s ESPN, the current rights holder, not planning to match or exceed the offer.
ESPN’s contract to broadcast Formula 1 in the U.S. runs through the current season. Its exclusivity window to negotiate a renewal has already expired, as reported in February.
The bid comes after the success of Apple’s “F1: The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt, which has grossed over USD 300 million globally, according to IMDb’s Box Office Mojo.

Formula 1 and its parent company, Liberty Media, have not publicly responded to the reported bid.
