According to the latest press release from EA, this limited launch release – noted to run throughout Spring, meaning March to May – will monitor and fix bugs that are expected to appear. The developers have also encouraged players to provide feedback as the end goal is to optimise Apex Legends Mobile for global launch.

Major confirmations for this launch event include:

  • No cross-play feature with PC and console players

  • Characters listed as playable: Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder and Caustic

  • Updates and optimisations have been included from the previous closed beta-test that was carried out in the Philippines and India.

There are minimum hardware requirements for smartphones, including 3GB RAM. Fortunately, some brands – Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, Motorola, Samsung, Lenovo and Xiaomi – have been included in the optimisation so their 2GB platforms can run this game.

“We’ll be sharing updates on global launch once we’ve made informed decisions coming out of the limited regional launch,” the developers added in its media statement.

  • Apex Legends Mobile selected four Southeast Asia countries – Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia – for the limited regional launch event

  • This launch window will be used to collect user feedback and iron out bugs and playability issues

  • There is no cross-play with other players on PC and consoles
