Anthropic Unveils Team Plan & iOS App: Revolutionising AI with Claude 3 & Enterprise Solutions

Anthropic launches Team, an enterprise offering with enhanced features and increased usage limits. The company introduces a free iPhone app for seamless chatbot interactions and file uploads. Anthropic's latest AI models, including Claude 3 Opus, outperform competitors in benchmark tests.

Claude, has unveiled its first-ever enterprise offering called Team, as well as a free iPhone app. With backing from tech giants like Google, Salesforce, and Amazon, Anthropic has quickly gained traction in the industry, securing a total of $7.3 billion in funding over the past year.

The Team plan, developed after extensive beta-testing with customers in various sectors, offers businesses access to all three of Anthropic's latest Claude models. It comes with increased usage limits, admin tools, billing management, and a longer "context window" that allows for multi-step conversations and the processing of long documents like research papers and legal contracts. The plan also includes features such as citations from reliable sources to verify AI-generated claims. Priced at $30 per user per month, the Team offering requires a minimum of five users.

In addition to the enterprise offering, Anthropic has launched its first iOS app, which is free for users across all plans. The app allows for syncing with web chats and enables users to upload photos and files directly from their smartphones. The company also revealed plans to develop an Android app in the near future.

These announcements come on the heels of Anthropic's recent release of Claude 3, a suite of AI models that the company claims are its fastest and most powerful to date. In benchmark tests, Claude 3 Opus, the most capable model, outperformed OpenAI's GPT-4 and Google's Gemini Ultra in areas such as undergraduate-level knowledge, graduate-level reasoning, and basic mathematics. Anthropic's models also offer multimodal support, allowing users to analyse and answer questions based on various types of unstructured data.

Anthropic's growing list of clients includes Pfizer, Asana, Zoom, Perplexity AI, and Bridgewater Associates, among others. The company's success reflects the booming generative AI field, which saw a record $29.1 billion invested across nearly 700 deals in 2023, a significant increase from the previous year.

While the technology has faced criticism for its potential to propagate bias, Anthropic, like OpenAI, has implemented strict guidelines to prevent the misuse of its AI models. The company prohibits the use of Claude for any activities that could cause harm or violence.
