The silicon giant today at QuakeCon announced it's releasing custom, Starfield-themed AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPUs and Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPUs with packaging inspired by the game's aesthetics. However, only 500 units of the new 7800X3D and 7900 XTX cards are being built in total and they won't be available for purchase to the public. Instead, they'll be offered to collectors and diehard fans as giveaways.

QuakeCon is an annual gathering hosted by ZeniMax Media to promote the franchises of its subsidiary studios, including Bethesda Softworks.

"Celebrating the first new universe from Bethesda Game Studios in 25 years, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX with a custom shroud and Ryzen 7 7800X3D with collectors’ packaging embody the boundless creativity and freedom of Starfield," AMD wrote in a news release

Those who want to score any of the two releases should watch out for special promotions that'll be hosted by AMD, Bethesda Softworks, and partners across social pages.

The RX 7900 XTX GPU leverages AMD's RDNA 3 architecture to deliver high-framerate 4K experiences in games. It features 24GB of GDDR6 memory, along with a suite of benefits like DisplayPort 2.1 and AV1 encode support. The 7800X3D CPU, meanwhile, is built on the latest Zen 4 architecture and designed for fast gaming performance, boasting 104MB of cache.

AMD's GPU and CPU aren't the first products celebrating the release of Starfield this year. In June, Bethesda announced a Starfield-themed Xbox controller and headset featuring the same yellow, red, blue and white colour aesthetic from AMD's reveals. Both the controller and headset are already out, but because they're also limited-edition releases, stocks are scarce.

Starfield launches on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Windows on 6 September, 2023.
