Acer is expanding its all-new Predator gaming lineup with the addition of the Helios Neo 16.

The new mid-range laptop, as the Taipei, Taiwan-based hardware maker touts, represents a highly accessible path to Nvidia's new RTX 4000 GPUs, which supports next-generation artificial intelligence-powered graphics and improved thermal performance. The new GPUs leverage the chipmaker's Ada Lovelace architecture to also bring new graphics and performance technologies, including ray-tracing and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 3, among others.
Acer is shipping the Predator Helios Neo 16 in two configurations: a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700HX processor paired with up to a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU with a Maximum Graphics Power (MGP) of 140 W. It also comes equipped with 16GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800 MHz RAM – with support for up to 32GB – along with 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

The internal components are kept cool by Acer's proprietary cooling solutions, featuring a custom all-metal AeroBlade fan technology and liquid metal thermal grease on the processor.
The laptop comes in two 16:10 IPS display configurations: a WUXGA (1920x1200) panel with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and 400 nits peak brightness or a WQXGA (2560x1600) panel with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and 500 nits peak brightness. Both panels have a 3ms response time and can display 100% of the sRGB colour gamut. They also support Nvidia's Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC technology to keep visuals crisp and smooth during gameplay.
It also includes the new PredatorSense 4.0 utility app, which makes it easier to control system settings and monitoring. Meanwhile, Scenario Manager enables the creation of personal profiles for different gaming setups. PredatorSense also features Predator Pulsar lighting, which allows users to customise the laptop keyboard’s per-key RGB backlighting.

Other features include Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1650 connectivity and USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, consisting of an HDMI 2.1 jack, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports that support power delivery and a MicroSD card reader.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 is available now on Acer Singapore’s e-store and other online marketplaces. It's the most accessible option in Acer's Predator Helios lineup, which also includes the Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios 18. The Nvidia RTX 4050 variant of the Neo 16 is priced at S$2,398, while the RTX 4060 variant is priced at S$2,598. For comparison, the Helios 16 starts at $3,298, while the Helios 18, which only comes in a single configuration, costs $3,998.
