Acer at IFA 2025: Swift Air 16, Nitro V 16S, Iconia X12

Europe’s largest consumer tech trade show, IFA, is set to kick off in a couple of days in Berlin, Germany, and Acer is among the first to showcase new innovations.

The Taiwanese hardware maker hosted its next@acer global press conference at the trade event, where it unveiled the latest additions to its line of laptops and handhelds.


Let’s take a look at the highlights from the conference below:


Swift Air 16

First up is Acer’s new Swift Air 16 (SFA16-61M), a thin-and-light laptop developed for professionals who work on the go. This model combines cutting-edge AI capabilities with an immersive 16-inch display, all while maintaining that ultra-portable and lightweight form factor the brand’s Swift line is known for.


Powering the Swift Air 16 is the latest generation of AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, featuring up to an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, enabling seamless execution of local AI applications and enhanced responsiveness while maintaining low power consumption. AMD’s latest processors also ensure you can enjoy strong performance for every professional task, whether it be video conferencing, streaming, or editing, among others.


You can expect to enjoy unique Windows-based AI experiences, including Recall and Click to Do thanks to the laptop being a Copilot+ PC. Additionally, you also benefit from swift boot times, ample file storage, and smooth performance across demanding applications.


Design-wise, the laptop has an elegant chassis that’s crafted from magnesium-aluminum alloy, offering reliable durability without compromising portability. It weighs under one kilogram at 2.18 pounds, making it one of the lightest 16-inch laptops available. Plus, the device is available in four color profiles and fits effortlessly into any work setting, from coffee shops and co-working spaces to boardrooms.


You can also choose between a 16-inch WQXGA+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate or a WUXGA IPS display with a 60 Hz refresh rate option and a 16:10 aspect ratio for wide viewing and work space. The AMOLED option brings deep blacks, vivid colours, and exceptional clarity with full support for the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 400 nits peak brightness.


Other features include 2MP FHD IR camera with privacy shutter, dual speakers and dual microphones.


For connectivity options, you get two full-function USB Type-C ports, USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI 1.4 with HDCP support. Meanwhile, wireless support includes Wi-Fi 6E and the latest Bluetooth standard, providing fast and stable connections wherever you go.


The Acer Swift Air 16 will be available in Singapore sometime in Q4 2025, with a starting price of S$1,499.


Acer TravelMate X4 14 AI

Sticking with productivity laptops, the TravelMate X4 14 AI is a laptop built for mobile professionals. This sleek and secure AI business laptop features up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V with 115 TOPS of overall performance, up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory, and up to 1 TB PCIe storage. Running Windows 11 Pro, the laptop supports Copilot+ PC experiences, including the previously mentioned AI features.


The laptop is also ultra-portable, weighing just 1.27 kg (2.8 lbs) and measuring 15.9 mm (0.63 inches) thin. And its thin and light design doesn’t come at the cost of durability. It’s built to meet MIL-STD 810H durability standards, making it capable of withstanding vibrations, humidity, and extreme temperatures.


Meanwhile, the 14-inch 16:10 WUXGA display provides ample screen space, with an optional OLED panel with 500 nits peak brightness. It also supports Acer PurifiedView 2.0 and Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 technology, paired with DTS:X® Ultra Audio-enhanced speakers to ensure crystal-clear video calls.


For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for seamless streaming, lag-free video calls, and fast file transfers, as well as two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 slot and a Gigabit Ethernet port.


Nitro V 16S

Alongside the productivity laptops, Acer also unveiled new gaming laptops, including the refreshed version of the Nitro V 16S, a sleek on-the-go companion for gaming. This laptop touts modern gaming technology at a fairly reasonable price. It houses an Intel Core 9 processor 270H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, which supports DLSS 4 and neural rendering for fast, responsive gameplay and content creation.


The laptop’s WQXGA (2560x1600) display with 100% sRGB colour coverage and 180Hz refresh rate presents accurate colours and delivers ultra-smooth frames.


Meanwhile, its slim metal chassis measures less than 19.9 mm thin, making it very portable and allow you to game anywhere. What’s more, its striking four-zone RGB keyboard adds a stylish touch to its modern aesthetic.


Both the Acer Nitro V 16 and V 16S also include NitroSense, enabling real-time performance monitoring and the ability to fine-tune fan speeds for maximum cooling efficiency. The Nitro V laptops also have Acer Experience Zone, which offers access to a suite of AI-powered apps, boosting both productivity and creativity, as well as Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro for lag-free connectivity and Thunderbolt 4 for fast data transfers.


The Acer Nitro V 16S will be coming to Singapore sometime in Q4 2025, with a starting price of S$1,599.


Predator Helios 18P AI

If you want your laptop to handle both work and play, the Predator Helios 18P AI might be a better choice. This professional-grade laptop, as Acer touts, is built for AI developers, creators, and hybrid users who demand both performance and graphical power. It can house up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285HX with Intel vPro, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, ECC memory, and state-of-the-art cooling.


Speaking of its cooling solution, it’s equipped with Acer’s sixth generation aeroblade 3D fan technology. This technology has the world’s Thinnest fan blades at 0.05mm, which can adapt at high speeds, increasing airflow efficiency by up to 20%.


In addition, you also get desktop-grade visuals on the 18″ Mini LED panel, with the option to choose between 4K 120Hz or WQXGA 250Hz. Either option can go up to 1000 nits peak brightness and outputs colour accurate visuals.


For connectivity, the Predator Helios 18P AI has Intel Killer 1750x Wi-Fi 7, Intel Killer™ Ethernet E5000B, Killer DoubleShot Pro support, and dual Thunderbolt 5 ports for highly-responsive, low-latency gaming and instant data transfers.


Predator and Nitro Gaming Desktops

If you’re an at-home gamer, Acer also has some new Predator and Nitro gaming desktops.


Chief of which is the Predator Orion 7000, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 285K and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, giving it a lot of gaming power. Combined with the Predator CycloneX 360 cooling solution and a customisable ARGB lighting, Acer is hailing this desktop as a statement of intent for gamers.


Alternatively, you can also go with the Predator Orion 5000, which houses an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080, and Predator CycloneX 360 three-in-one air cooling.


Meanwhile, the Nitro 70 AMD is also a fairly capable gaming desktop, packing an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics, and Acer Nitro CycloneX 360 cooling in a 45L chassis. It also has a slightly downgraded sibling in the Nitro 50 AMD, which packs an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics.


Acer Nitro XZ403CKR

Acer also unveiled a new high-end gaming monitor, the Nitro XZ403CKR. This monitor features a 5K WUHD curved display with 180Hz refresh or 288Hz WFHD via DFR for peak visual performance, enabling you to enjoy incredibly immersive visuals as you game.


Veriton GN100 AI Mini Workstation

Apart from laptops, Acer also unveiled a thin and light series of tablets, the Iconia X12. The series is crafted to support both productivity and entertainment, powered by Android, vivid displays, and AI-enabled features.


The Acer Iconia X12 (X12-21M) features a vibrant 12.6-inch WQXGA (2560x1600) AMOLED display, 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits peak brightness, and a smooth 60Hz refresh rate, producing striking visuals and responsive touch with in-cell technology.


Covered in a matte black finish, the tablet has a premium style and feel. And on top of this, it only weighs just 500g.


Under the hood, it’s powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB expandable storage (up to 1 TB via microSD slot) and offers up to 16 hours of battery life.


For cameras, it has a 13 MP rear camera with flash technology that can take clear photos in low-light conditions. Meanwhile, it has a 5 MP front camera for video calls and selfies.


Other features include quad stereo speakers, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS tracking, and a USB PD 2.0 Type-C port ensure reliable connectivity.


The Iconia X12 tablet is also available with optional accessories, namely a stylus pen for note-taking and creativity tasks, a detachable keyboard for seamless typing and navigation, and a magnetic kickstand that props up the tablet for hands-free use and versatile viewing angles.


The Acer Iconia X12 will be available in Singapore some time in Q4 2025, with a starting price of S$549.
