Samsung’s Starbucks Collab Features Coffee Mug-Shaped Earbuds Case

Whether it’s with luxury fashion brands or popular personalities, collaborations tend to produce some exclusive merch that are worth snagging. And this seems to be true for Samsung’s new partnership with Starbucks, which has produced a line of cases for the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy Buds 2.

There are several designs for the cases, all of which are themed around the branding of the Seattle-founded coffeehouse giant. One of the smartphone cases, for example, takes inspiration from the aprons worn by the international chain’s baristas, complete with a patched logo, while another has what looks to be a sample receipt printed on the back with a strap to match.

But perhaps the most eye-catching and must-have release from the line is the coffee mug-shaped earbuds case that even comes with a perfectly drawn latte leaf. The case has swivels close to the tip of the mug, where it opens to reveal the stored earbuds.

While it’s an adorable design, it looks to be unwieldy and impractical for on-the-go use. This is probably a case that’s best left on a desk, where it can also double as a display piece, rather than one that people would put in their pockets or carry in their bags.

The sad news is the line will only be available in Samsung’s home turf of South Korea for now. They’re also said to be in limited supply, and it’s not yet clear if there are any plans of releasing them in other markets. Prices also have yet to be revealed.

Because of the exclusivity, the only way to score any of the cases is through the secondary market. Hopefully, it generates enough of a buzz for Samsung to consider a wider release.
