What makes you decide if you have to upgrade a smart phone?
According to a Samsung’s survey, having the latest camera technology is the number one reason why people upgrade their smartphones. More and more smartphone users are apparently, communicating with each other through pictures and videos.
So Samsung is taking this trend to heart with the brand new Galaxy S20 series, which they say is the start of a new chapter of the Galaxy smartphones.
“As we enter this new decade, 5G will completely change how we communicate and how we experience the world around us,” said Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics.

The S20 Ultra is built with a super resolution smart camera system, with a whopping 108 Megapixels, while the S20 and S20+ supports 64MP. The larger image sensor increases the camera resolution significantly, giving every picture taken, more details, with added flexibility for editing, cropping, and zooming.
The S20 Ultra, also comes with a 100X space zoom, that can zoom in far beyond what a normal lens can see. The image is then enhanced for clarity.
Galaxy S20’s Space Zoom technology uses a combination of Hybrid Optic Zoom and Super Resolution Zoom, which includes AI-powered digital zoom.
The revolutionary folded lenses on the S20 Ultra uses AI powered, multi-image processing to reduce quality loss at high zoom levels so that users can experience Super Resolution Zoom up to 100X with a clearer view ever than before.
The S20 and S20+, comes with a powerful 30 times space zoom. The S20 Ultra also shoots videos in 8K, and lets you snap a picture of the video at 30 mega pixels. If you want true cinematic videos, switch to the pro mode to adjust each and every setting to suit your scene.
All The Camera Tricks In One Tap.
Have you ever wanted to shoot a special moment, you can’t repeat, but you also can’t decide if you want a video, a photo, a boomerang, maybe slo mo? Or which filter to use.
Well now, switch-on the all new single take mode.
All you have to do is tap, and the AI will capture that special moment for you in a variety of modes, from boomerang, to slomo, and a regular video, you will also have snapshots of the the scene in a variety of filters chosen for you.
At the moment you can’t select the functions you want yet, and Samsung says the AI will decide this for you. So if it is a video of a person doing a repeated action, you will most likely have a boomerang, as one of the videos produced for you.
5G Is Here And It Is Taking Over
All 3 S20 models come in 5G versions, because 5G is expected to take over and double in 2020. Samsung’s Head of Mobile Communications Business Dr. TM Roh, says, “Samsung is providing a next-generation device for transforming people’s lives. With an incredible, AI powered camera, you can capture the moments as they happen and connect more seamlessly with the people you love.”
