StarHub Offers S$0 Upfront Cost, No Interest Instalment Plan for iPhone 13, Galaxy S21 5G Purchases

StarHub announced that SIM Only customers can buy a smartphone of their choice with EasyGo, an instalment plan that involves no upfront costs, contracts and zero interest. Some of the devices they can buy with the plan are the iPhone 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G.


SIM Only customers can choose either a 12-month or 24-month instalment plan and receive upfront discounts of as much as S$379 on selected mobile devices bought through EasyGo.

You can get a discount of up to S$155 off the recommended retail pricing for devices such as the iPhone 12, Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G, with the phones coming with a SIM Only plan. From this point, you need to pay a monthly instalment ranging from S$38 to S$49 for the phone. These fees will be charged together with your selected SIM Only plan.

Existing and new StarHub Mobile customers can get the EasyGo plan. To enjoy EasyGo, you need to renew or sign up for a new SIM Only plan. Under the SIM Only with 5G option, you can choose the Mobile+ SIM Only S$38 or the Mobile+ SIM Only S$45 plan to get up to 90GB, 1,000 talktime minutes and 12 months of Disney+.


You may also opt to purchase a contract-free StarHub 4G SIM Only plan at S$20 monthly, which includes 40GB and unlimited talktime. If you've subscribed to a StarHub two-year mobile plan, then you can switch to any SIM Only plan and receive an extra S$50 device discount when you make a purchase using EasyGo.


StarHub also accepts device trade-ins, which let you further offset your monthly EasyGo charges. EasyGo will apply to iPhone 13 purchases starting 24 September 2021.


The company added that you can settle all instalment payments early at one go without any termination, administration or other hidden fees. The initial device discount given to you upfront will be pro-rated and reversed. The deal allows customers to retain full ownership of the devices they bought.


You can subscribe to an EasyGo plan at any StarHub shop. Online purchasing of EasyGo will be available in the next quarter.
