An internal memo obtained by Reuters revealed that the company is making improvements to the GPTs based on customer feedback.

The store, which was initially set to be launched in November, aims to provide users with AI assistants capable of performing real-world tasks and the opportunity to share their GPTs and earn money.

The decision to postpone the launch comes amidst the recent upheaval at OpenAI, including the removal and subsequent reinstatement of CEO Sam Altman. Altman's removal was prompted by employee threats to quit, highlighting the internal tensions within the company.

GPTs, or Generative Pre-trained Transformers, are AI models that have been trained on vast amounts of data to generate human-like text. They have the potential to revolutionise various industries, including customer service, content creation and more.

OpenAI's delay in launching the custom GPT store may disappoint those eagerly anticipating its release. However, the company's commitment to refining the technology based on user feedback suggests a dedication to delivering a high-quality product.
