Recently, new documents from the South Korean company have surfaced, shedding light on some of the key specifications of this innovative foldable device.

These details have emerged from China's MIIT database, which is responsible for regulating the country's internet and wireless services. Typically, manufacturers wait until the last moment to apply for certification to ensure that the hardware submitted is the final version and to avoid revealing too much about their upcoming products.

With Samsung expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 alongside the Z Flip 6 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10th, the appearance of the device in the MIIT database is likely just the beginning of the regulatory filings that Samsung will have to make public.

Upon delving into the filing, it is revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will come with dual-SIM support over 5G. This is not the first time Samsung has included dual SIM support in its foldable devices. The previous model, Galaxy Z Fold 5, also featured this capability. In the US, the device supported one physical nano-SIM and one digital eSIM, while other markets had support for two physical nano-SIMs.

Leaked specifications from early June hinted at a similar approach to SIM support in the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which aligns with the dual-SIM listing in the MIIT filing. It is not surprising that Samsung continues to offer dual-SIM functionality, considering the widespread support for eSIM in the US market and the limited support outside of North America.

Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to showcase not only the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 but also new additions to the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds product lines.
