LG's New Aero Furniture Air Purifier Can Double As A Table
LG is finding new and innovative ways to make its renowned air purifiers appear more discreet in your homes.

The South Korean electronics giant on Friday, 26 August unveiled the PuriCare Aero Furniture at IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany, this year's edition of Europe's biggest consumer tech conference. The new device blurs the line between furniture and air purifier, with it sporting a table-type design.
The Aero Furniture's relatively compact size makes it a good addition to smaller spaces, such as studio apartments. You can even customise the unit a bit to make it better suit your living space. The unit's base comes in three colour options, Crème Rose, Crème Yellow and Crème Grey, while the shape of the table-top can either be round or track.
You can use the top surface to store items or display decorative objects the same way you would any other table. LG made sure that the air purifier can still function even when you do this, integrating the controls for the power, airflow modes and mood lighting on the underside. It also includes a series of small indicators denoting Wi-Fi connectivity, air quality, air flow strength and upgrade status positioned close to the edge of the tabletop.
What's perhaps even cooler is that the tabletop features a built-in wireless charger. This means you can leave your wireless earbuds or smartphones on it and they'll conveniently start charging.
This being an air purifier, the unit improves indoor air quality thanks to multi-stage filtration that combines the brand's different filtration solutions. It also comes equipped with LG’s UVnano technology, which is said to reduce the presence of viruses and bacteria on and around the Aero Furniture’s fan blades by up to 99.99%.
“With its customizable design, advanced air purification and user-centric features, the Aero Furniture helps consumers create a healthy, comfortable and more personalized home,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “LG will continue to develop innovations for a healthier, better life by responding to the diverse needs of consumers worldwide.”

LG has yet to reveal a price and a release date for the table-type air purifier. The brand did say that it plans to launch limited-edition versions of the unit in the near future, which is set to include models with exclusive table-top decorations designed by artists like South Korean painter Kim Sun-woo.
The Aero Furniture will also be at LG's IFA 2022 exhibition booth from 2 September to 6 September.
