Your Karaoke Experience Just Got Even Better With Apple Music Sing

When you want to sing along to your favourite songs, maybe you want the singer's vocals to be slightly softer or perhaps you need the real-time lyrics that karaoke systems typically offer. Well, Apple Music Sing is the service's latest feature that has you covered.

With adjustable vocals that can lower the volume of the singer's vocals as needed, users can sing along in tandem or have their voice be the leading vocals. However, the adjustable vocals won't be able to completely remove a singer's vocals from the song, so it'll always still be there. For songs with multiple singers, lyrics will appear on opposite sides of the screen to make it easy to sing along to. Background vocals will also have separately animated lyrics for easier following along.

“Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features on our service,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats. “We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favourite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing. It’s really a lot of fun, our customers are going to love it.”

The feature will be available to Apple Music subscribers (except Apple Music Voice Plan) later this month and will be available on compatible iPad and iPhone models as well as the new Apple TV 4K. Apple will also be launching more than 50 playlists on the music service, comprising songs, duets and more that are fully optimised for the Apple Music Sing feature.
