However, the date for the match is still uncertain, as Musk mentioned that he may require surgery on his neck and upper back before the fight can take place.

"I'm getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week," Musk shared in a post on X. The tech moguls have been playfully challenging each other to a mixed martial arts (MMA) cage match in Las Vegas since June.

Musk further stated on X early Sunday morning, "Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans." In response, Zuckerberg took to his social media app Threads and said, "I'm ready today. I suggested Aug. 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn't confirmed. Not holding my breath." Zuckerberg also proposed using a more "reliable platform" that can raise money for charity.

Earlier in the day, Musk shared on X that he was "lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight," adding that he didn't have time to work out, so he brings the weights to work. When a user on X questioned the purpose of the fight, Musk replied, "It's a civilized form of war. Men love war."

The rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg ignited when Musk expressed his willingness for a cage match with Zuckerberg, who is trained in jiujitsu, in a post on June 20. The following day, Zuckerberg, who has shared pictures of his victorious matches on his company's Instagram platform, asked Musk to "send location" for the proposed throwdown.

Musk responded with "Vegas Octagon," referring to the venue where MMA championship bouts are held.

Musk then stated that he would start training if the cage fight materialized. The anticipation for this showdown continues to grow, with fans eagerly awaiting further updates on the date and details of the live-streamed fight between these two tech titans.
