Musk Announces Tesla's Full Self-Driving Potential Entry into China

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed that the company's Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology may soon be available to customers in China. In response to a user's query on social media platform X, Musk stated, "It may be possible very soon." This announcement comes after years of anticipation from Chinese customers who have been eagerly awaiting the launch of FSD in their country.

Despite being introduced four years ago, Tesla has yet to make its FSD technology accessible in China. This delay has given other Chinese automakers an opportunity to develop and release their own similar software, aiming to gain a competitive edge over Tesla.

One such automaker is Xpeng, which recently announced its plans to upgrade its advanced driver assistance software. Xpeng's XNGP Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is comparable to Tesla's FSD technology. The company intends to make all of its ADAS functions available to drivers across China by 2024, further intensifying the competition in the autonomous driving market.
